Lowe's Donation Print E-mail
Lowe's has what is called a Lowe's Hero program.  Different organizations submit their need & Lowe's will decide which one to help.  Normally they donate the labor as well.  We submitted a letter for the Nurse's Station.  About 3 weeks ago they called & explained, that since we are so far from Roseburg that they were not able to do the Lowe's Hero program but they had a pallet of ceramic wall tile to give us.  When we went to Lowe's they not only had one pallet but 4 pallets.  Well over a $1,000 in tile.  Enough to do the showers in the new cabin ,we hope to build this fall, & enough to redo at least one restroom in the Dining Hall Basement.  If you shop at Lowe's in Roseburg & think of it, ask to speak to Shane [a manager] or Carlos or Robbie in shipping & receiving & thank them for their contribution to Kellogg Springs Camp.

We have had some wonderful donations given to the camp this year.  Eight new Queen mattresses, Eight twin mattresses, 72 mattress covers, new washer & dryer for the Nurse's Station, a used wash machine, dryer & refrigerator for a spare, $2,000.00 to gravel the road, 9 new solid wood Queen beds, 4 solid wood bunk beds are on the way,  & a nice used bull-dozer was delivered to the camp Monday nite, August 16.  Click here to see dozer.

We sure appreciate all the donations given to Kellogg Springs Camp.  We are still in need of 8 more new Queen mattresses.  I have located some new Simmons [with imperfections] for $200 each.

Nurse's Station Print E-mail

Many, Many thanks to all of our folks across the ORPAC District who donated their time to make this dream come true.  All of our camps have thoroughly enjoyed the Nurse's Station.  We have had some wonderful financial donations toward the Nurse's Station such as a new Washer & Dryer, New beds, & new mattresses.  Several medical items were donated as well.  Our Camp Board will meet September 11 & set a date for the dedication of the new facility.

CAMP UPDATE Print E-mail

March 23, 2010

What a very busy 5 months we have had.  Our 1 month kitchen remodel turned into 5 months of dodging water pipes freezing, water leaks, rain, rain, rain, & several other interruptions.  We had to put the Nurse's Station on hold for 4 months in order to get the kitchen operable again.  It was  a l o t  of work but well worth it to do it right.

I want to say many many thanks to all the groups who volunteered time to help us:  Roseburg Nazarene Youth & Adults week after week after week, Gresham Springwater Nazarene, Molalla Nazarene, Albany Nazarene, Bay Area Nazarene, & Bend Nazarene.  Please forgive me if I missed someone.

15 Roseburg Nazarene Youth were here Monday, March 22, to do alot of mowing, weeding & clean up.  Creswell Nazarene Men & Roseburg Nazarene Men will be here this weekend, March 26-27 to do all kinds of work.

We are back on the Nurse's Station.  The trusses & roofing will be on the premises this week.  We have some folks coming in to help with the project.  If interested in volunteering your skills or help - please call Chip @ 541-459-1511.

Funds for a new washer & dryer have been donated for the Nurse's Station.  Other special needs are [new or in excellent condition]:  refrigerator [white], 2 sets of sturdy bunk beds [that will separate into twin beds], recliner & hide-a-bed sofa [neutral colors].  You can donate funds to purchase these items by going to our home page & press the donate button or go to the contact page & send us a check.  Let us know which item or items you would like to donate.

New groups are constantly signing up to use Kellogg Springs Camp.  If your group is interested & we have someone already scheduled on the date you would like to come, please call.  Many times we are able to accommodate two groups at the same time.

Prayer Request for Kellogg Springs Camp Print E-mail

Amid all the financial woes that many in Oregon & across our nation are facing, I am believing God for the best year Kellogg Springs Camp has ever had.  I am asking you to pray with me about several things:

1. That many boys & girls will be saved this summer & hundreds of new stakes will be driven in the stake garden. [For more info on the stake garden go to our new website: kelloggsprings.com]

2. That our camps & retreats will be better attended than ever!

3. That many financial gifts will come in to help us improve the camp & add to our ability to host more groups.

4. That all the staff will exemplify the beautiful spirit of Jesus to those using our facilities.

5. That God will keep water flowing from our wells & spring.

If you have a prayer request, please send it in so we can also pray for you.

Thank you for praying.
